Опасаясь гриппа A/H1N1, футболисты и тренерский штаб сборной Греции прибыли в Донецк в хирургических масках.
Вчера в аэропорту было очень весело, если не сказать больше.
Греческие игроки восприняли предписания медиков с юмором, поспешив сфотографироваться на память в масках, но снять их не решились. В тоже время тренер греков, обычно крайне дисциплинированный 71-летний немецкий специалист Отто Рехагель, напротив, не придал большого значения требованиям врачей и почти сразу стянул маску с лица. Дедушка старый, ему все равно...
В отличие от обычных марлевых масок, специальные хирургические маски, которые раздали греческим футболистам врачи сборной, практически исключают заражение вирусом в течение нескольких десятков минут.
История с завышенными ценами на билеты на игру сборной вряд ли получит свое развитие в ближайшие дни. Теперь все внимание будет сосредоточено на подготовке к матчу и самой игре.
В поединке, который состоится в 20:00 в среду 18 ноября на поле донецкой Донбасс Арены сборные Греции и Украины определят, кто из них поедет на Кубок мира футболу 2010 года в Южной Африке.
Первый матч, что прошел в минувшую субботу в Афинах, завершился нулевой ничьей, что делает шансы команд практически равными: с одной стороны в ответном поединке украинцам поможет свое поле, а с другой, команда Михайличенко не забила в гостях, тем самым осложнив решение задачи и теперь даже один пропущенный мяч от греков серьезно снижает шансы украинцев на общий успех.

Ticket price row in Ukraine before World Cup playoff

KIEV, Nov 17 (Reuters) - Shakhtar Donetsk owner Rinat Akhmetov has clashed with Ukraine's National Football Federation over ticket prices for the World Cup playoff against Greece on Wednesday.
Ukraine's federation and its commercial partner UFI have set prices for the match in Donetsk at $25-$1,000 per ticket, according to media.
This is far too expensive for many Ukrainians who have been hit hard by the global economic crisis.
Akhmetov, billionaire owner of the Donetsk stadium Donbas Arena, urged the Federation to buy up all the tickets at a reduced price and then sell them to fans at a discount.
But the Federation refused, accusing him of a "cheap propaganda trick".
"Unfortunately, your mind and conscience are guided by the opportunity of earning $4.6 million. To my great sorrow, you are not bothered about whether Donbas Arena will be full or not on 18 November," Akhmetov's Shakhtar website http://shakhtar.com quoted him as saying.
"I had been expecting you to make a wise decision that would allow the supporters to buy tickets at the reasonable prices and the national team of Ukraine to feel the thundering support and atmosphere of overcrowded home ground at the decisive match."
The Federation, headed by tycoon Hryhoriy Surkis, said Akhmetov's proposal was "unreal" and "absurd".
"Public promises by the leadership of Shakhtar to help fans ... is a cheap propaganda trick," its press-service said in a statement.
"The Federation thinks that a statement by the Shakhtar president is further confirmation of his real task ... to make impossible the proper carrying out of the Ukraine-Greece game."
Media said that only 50-60 percent of the tickets had been sold so far.
The first leg of the playoff ended 0-0 in Athens on Nov. 14. The winners of the tie qualify for next year's finals in South Africa. (Reporting by Pavel Polityuk; editing by Richard Balmforth and Justin Palmer
